Event Description

It’s spring! Time for spring cleaning inside and out. What is a Detox? Diana will help you separate fact from fiction and give you guidelines for a healthy two-week detox program. Many people find a simple detox can jump start their current weight loss strategies, improve their digestion and pump up their energy!

You have been working your ass off (literally!) and lost your first goal weight last week of 10 pounds (half way there to 20.)

You are still working hard at your reducing but you are no longer losing any more weight.

What happened?

You’ve hit the dreaded plateau!

What to do now:

1.        Go back to how you started your diet.

– Look at your journal. What were you eating?

– What are you eating now? Have you formed any bad habits? Portion size? Did you get lazy and stop counting calories?

– Remember to keep tack of your progress

2.        Lifestyle: Are you getting more than 7 hours of sleep. Women who get less than 5 hours a night tend to gain weight because the cortisol levels are out of sync and we tend to eat more and move around less when we are fatigued.

– Are you eating after 7 pm?

-Add resistance to your exercise programs.

6.      Reduce you Calorie intake at lunch and dinner:

– Remind yourself- you now weigh less so you probably need to consume LESS calories.  If you were eating 1,300 calories to lost weight I suggest to drop it down to 1,200 now.

-Start with a non- starchy vegetable to fill you up so you have less room for more calorie dense foods.

7.       Take a moment to visualize everyday

-Go back to why you wanted to lose weight in the first place. Get excited about how the result will change your life. Spend some time feeling that.

8. Consider an Elimination program (Detox)

A good 2 week program can fine tune our digestion and make  weight loss easier.
